The ORA Council appreciates that 2015 has been a difficult year for our members, in organizing events and offering a full program as we have in years past.

As you know, we work closely with the Canadian military and enjoy a long-standing, good relationship with them, allowing us privileges to utilize their ranges.  In 2015 there were a number of range closures at Borden due to scheduled repairs and upgrades.  Most recently, we were notified by Range Control that due to safety concerns, modifications are required at Cedar Springs and Winona.  While the ranges are not closed, no markers can be in the butts while shooting is going on – obviously with our various disciplines and matches this does not work well.

We have offered a comprehensive shooting program in 2015 within the constraints we have worked with, and will continue to work with the military and all our members to offer additional shooting opportunities in 2015 as repairs are completed and military training prioritization permits.

There may be last minute opportunities to shoot as we work with the military, so please watch the website and calendar as the months go on.
